Requiring extensive repairs, the former vestry is being restored and reimagined as offices to support the church’s daily work.
Work is underway in the kids' check-in area, designed with safety and ease in mind.
The kids’ room is being updated with new separation walls to serve different age groups.
Work continues in the sanctuary with the installation of underfloor heating.

This future office space will give our team a place to collaborate, plan, and care for the community more effectively. What’s currently just framing will soon become the hub where ministry, outreach, and support for families are coordinated every day.
Behind the walls, essential infrastructure is taking shape. These bathrooms will help the building serve the many people who will gather here each week for programs, worship, and community events.
The kitchen is beginning to come together! This space will make it possible to host meals, serve families, and create moments of connection where relationships and community can grow.
This room will soon become a dedicated space for kids to learn, play, and grow together. Right now, our children’s ministry has outgrown the rented space they use—so this room will give them the space they need to thrive.
Restoration Milestones:
February 2026
Work is moving forward with significant structural progress underway. It’s wonderful to see the space beginning to open up — you can really start to sense what it will become.
Demo Complete: While things look a bit messy right now, most of the strip-out and demolition work has been completed, which is a major step forward.
Supporting Beams: After the layers were removed, a few additional structural needs have been identified. These are being addressed now, including installing new supporting beams to ensure the building is strong and secure for the future. Thankfully, nothing has proven overly complicated — just part of the honest work that comes with restoring a historic space.
Kids Church: This side room is beginning to take shape and may soon welcome children as a vibrant Kids Church space
Blending History and Innovation
St. David’s was built in 1905 to serve as a house of worship—and it will be again. Our vision is to restore this historic building with a design that honors its past while equipping it for future gospel impact. Sandstone, glass, and timber will provide a simple, elegant space for church worship, ministry training, and community life.
From Sunday services to weekday outreach, this will be a place where beauty, mission, and community meet.
The Vision for the Space
The main sanctuary will be fully revitalized to maximize its capacity. This includes installing new flooring, lighting, insulation, A/V infrastructure, and beautiful but simple finishes that reflect the dignity of worship.
Two additional halls will be reconfigured as flexible-use rooms:
On Sundays: dynamic spaces for children’s ministry.
During the week: training environments for ministry seminars, small groups, and special events.
A side gallery will be transformed into a hospitality space for post-service gatherings and community events—a place where relationship and discipleship can thrive.
Ground floor renovations will open up narrow corridors and improve access to toilets and stairways, making the building more navigable and welcoming to all. The office suite will be refurbished to provide a light-filled, inspiring workspace for staff, pastoral care, and ministry operations.
Throughout the building, we will upgrade critical infrastructure—electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems—to meet current codes and ensure St. David’s is safe, modern, and built-to-last.
